We’re targeting the exact voters we need to win.

Friend -- The response to our social media campaign targeting unlikely voters has been outstanding, and we want to make sure we reach as many people as possible. Will you chip in $5 to help expand put our social media images and videos in front of tens of thousands of people?

Friend,

FiveThirtyEight’s analysis of recent polls shows that 48.8% of voters are against the recall, and 47.6% are for it.(1) Republican Larry Elder has a solid, double-digit lead ahead of the rest of the Recall candidate field.

If the election were held today, it would be a toss-up regarding whether we’d have Fox News commentator Larry Elder as governor of California.

Progressives are just not taking this Recall seriously, and worse, recent polling is showing that the messaging from the party is just not working to rally voters.

The good news is that an ally of ours, ASO Communications, has discovered which messaging does work to get voters motivated to defeat the Recall, and we need to get that messaging out far and wide. We’ve partnered with ASO Communications, Frameshift, and Way to Win Action Fund to produce social media videos and images aimed directly at the undecided progressive voters to convince them to turn their ballots in. And the more money we raise, the more voters we can reach.

Will you chip in $5 to our emergency campaign to let progressive voters know just what’s at stake in the Recall?

Here’s what our partners have discovered: The people we need to reach are deeply cynical about government after the last few years of politics and the pandemic, and framing the recall election solely in terms of the party line of loyalty or fear is demobilizing.

But what does work is letting people know what we are fighting for and what is at stake if Governor Gavin Newsom loses on September 14:

  • We are voting for our shared values of equity, justice, and accountability.
  • The recall threatens the more progressive California that we have been building and fighting for together for decades.
  • Saying NO to the recall is saying no to division, disinformation, and going backwards.
  • We have the power to reject this recall and come together to define our pathway to more progress in California.

We have the messaging. We have videos and images informing people of that message ready to go. Now we need to reach our audience through every social media channel possible, from Facebook to Twitter to TikTok and beyond.

Will you chip in $5 to help make our anti-Recall media go as viral as possible?
