John,
Voting rights are under attack in the United States. Since January, 48 states have introduced 389 bills that amount to shameful, outright voter suppression. And many have already become law.
These laws suppress voting methods that enrich our democracy and lead to high turnout: banning ballot drop boxes and mail-in voting, reducing early voting days and hours, restricting who can get a mail-in ballot, prohibiting officials from promoting the use of mail-in ballots even when voters qualify, and even criminalizing the distribution of water to voters waiting in the long lines these laws create.
Together, we must fight back to defend our democracy and our right to vote!
This Saturday, CHN is joining with allies across the country for the March On for Voting Rights. The march will take place virtually and in cities and states across our country including Washington, D.C., Miami, Atlanta, and more. Click here to find a march near you to demand Congress act to defend and strengthen our right to vote.
Marking the 58th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech, this historic march is led by more than 250 social justice organizations who are coming together to make one thing clear: protecting our right to vote is the most important fight we have to save our democracy.
JOIN THE MARCH
(In-person or virtually)
We’re marching to shine a light on the voter disenfranchisement that is happening in state legislatures and to give Americans a mechanism to demand action to call on elected officials to denounce voter suppression and ensure fair access to the vote for all.
It is our obligation to fight back with all we have in order to save voting rights before it’s too late. Will you join us either by taking action from home or joining one of the marches in person?
Thank you for all you do to strengthen our democracy and to fight for the needs of working families, the vulnerable, the sick and the poor.
