We have a big goal coming up.
By the end of August, we need to raise an additional $10,000. That’s our goal because a few of our biggest fights are coming to a head this month, and we need to maximize the grassroots resources we’re putting into advocating, organizing, and demanding progress from members of Congress.
The House just passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act as well as the $3.5 trillion budget resolution developed by Sen. Bernie Sanders and the Biden administration. The former would shore up our democracy from escalating right-wing attacks, and the latter would make huge investments in Medicare expansion, child care, and other vital areas we’ve neglected for too long.
But getting these major policy achievements through the Senate, and transforming the lives of working people across the country as a result, is going to be enormously difficult. It’s now or never to deliver on our progressive vision in Congress, and we’re turning to supporters like you to help us gear up.
Having a movement based on real people instead of PACs and big-dollar donors is harder, no doubt. But it’s a commitment we’ll never fall short of, because our progressive values don’t come at a price.
Our loyalty is only to you, the people, and we count on you in key moments like this to help us stay on track with our movement’s fundraising goals.
