John, the lies and misdirections to stop the historic $3.5 trillion reconciliation package in Congress will only get worse.
Nine conservative House Democrats, Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, and conservative groups like No Labels have been using support for the “bipartisan” infrastructure bill as cover to stop historic investments in working people and fighting climate change. The Intercept uncovered No Labels admitting the lies.

The memo said that the nine House Democrats had “broken the link” between the infrastructure bill and the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill. Why is that what all of these conservatives want? Because they’re hoping to pass the Republican-backed infrastructure bill WITHOUT passing the $3.5 trillion spending bill.
This may be the last chance Democrats have to pass real economic relief for the working people of this country. It could be the last chance we have to invest in fighting climate change. We have to pass the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package, no matter the money and lies that conservative Democrats throw at us.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is another conservative group involved in boosting conservative Democrats and spreading lies about the fight in Washington. They’re even running ads for the nine on Facebook, fueling confusion about what’s going on in Congress.
This fight will continue into the fall, and real progress under the Biden presidency is on the line. We know corporations and the worst of the establishment will stop at nothing to block progress. We have to fight back to win change.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
