Hey John, this is Jake, 

 

I know I touched on this last week, but Governor Holcomb’s brand new Public
Health Commission will be a huge win for Indiana. I wanted to take a minute to
give you a more in-depth update.

 

The Governor has put in the work to guide Hoosiers through the most
challenging health crisis this state has seen. But there’s more to be done when
it comes to the health of our state.

 

For all the economic and education rankings where Indiana is at or near the
top of the list, sadly there are too many health metrics where Indiana is at
the back of the pack.

 

That’s why he established this new Public Health Commission. 

 

Indiana’s public health system has been around for over 140 years and is long
overdue for a top-down review so we can be ready for the next 100 years. 

 

This commission will do a deep dive into Indiana’s public health system,
analyzing ways to improve. 

 

The commission will also provide in-depth analysis and report to the
legislature all findings.
