Hi John. Let me be among the first today to wish you a happy and healthy Women’s Equality Day.
While securing women’s constitutional right to vote was a major feat, it still baffles me that after nearly 100 years of work, the ERA has still not become law.

I can’t think of a more timely moment to fight to ensure the Equal Rights Amendment is, at long last, added to the U.S. Constitution. Especially now, in this perilous moment when women’s fundamental human rights are so gravely at stake in Afghanistan, we are once again reminded of the critical importance and pending need to enshrine women’s rights into our law.

We will be rallying later today outside of the U.S. Supreme Court and while you may not be able to join us in person, one more simple action you can take right now in a showing of virtual support is by urging your Senators to take action on ending the filibuster to clear the way for the ERA.
