The race for partisan control of the Virginia state legislature is really darn close. So we're sending one last email asking you to make a donation to flip Virginia blue this November.

After going over the campaigns' fundraising reports that came out this week, we’ve updated the Immediate Impact Fund to support the 8 Virginia House candidates who are running in the most competitive races and locked in vicious fundraising battles with their Republican opponents.

With less than 3 weeks until Election Day, our candidates need every dollar we can give them to bridge fundraising gaps, pay for voter turnout ads, and finish these races strong. Donate to the Immediate Impact Fund today to flip Virginia blue—every dollar will go the campaigns where it will make the biggest difference.

If you’ve been considering donating to Virginia candidates, please do it now. We’ve set a deadline of October 19th to make our final disbursements to the campaigns, as they're locking their budgets and making last changes to their ad buying plans. That includes candidates like Joshua Cole, who’s running a close race for House District 28 and was just added to our Impact Fund.

In 2017, Cole lost the race for HD 28 by only 73 (!!) votes. The 2019 Virginia races could be just as close—and the difference between winning and losing could come down to what we do in these final couple weeks.

Every dollar is critically important now. If Democrats lose these races, they may not be able to take back the Virginia State House. Without the House, Democrats won’t be able to pass their progressive legislation, or undo years of Republican gerrymandering. A loss here would also empower the GOP ahead of 2020.
