Quick update, John.

Kevin McCarthy continues to undermine the investigation into the Jan. 6th insurrection. But one thing Kevin can't hide is his phone records from that day. Investigators just announced they will seek out phone calls between some Republicans -- possibly even between McCarthy and Trump.

Needless to say, McCarthy is fuming in the press and sounds like a man with something to hide. We're ratcheting the pressure up and reminding voters that McCarthy is a complete hypocrite on January 6th. First he supported the investigation, then flip-flopped to shield Donald Trump from any accountability.

It's cowardly, and as Marisa always says, standing for what's right starts at the top. That's a big reason why she's taking this fight to the highest levels of the GOP.

The violence that took place on Jan. 6th is a matter of fact -- not opinion.

McCarthy made it clear that he is on the side of those who want to ignore the truth about the attack on our Capitol and our democracy. It's shameful.

It's no wonder he's opposed to this investigation and doesn't want to reveal exactly what was said that day. It begs the question: How much did he know and why didn't he do more to stop it?
