Team,
There’s a crucial special election for Iowa House District 37 in just three short weeks on September 14.
My friend and the former vice chair of the Iowa Democratic Party, Andrea Phillips, is going up against Governor Kim Reynolds’ current state budget director — who was part of the decision to reject $95 million in federal funding for Iowa’s public schools.
With less than three weeks to go before Iowans in District 37 cast their ballots, will you join me in supporting Andrea by rushing a split contribution of $10 or more to our campaigns today?

Andrea believes all families in Ankeny want the same things: good-paying jobs to provide for our children, the ability to save for our kids to go to college and save for retirement, and the chance to send our kids to school and trust that they’ll be safe.
Last November, Andrea ran for this same seat and received more votes than the Republican incumbent had in any of his previous elections. Unfortunately, Republican turnout was through the roof due to rarely-voting Republicans who were motivated to turn out by Trump — who won’t be motivated to turn out for a special election.
With enough grassroots support this time around, we can get Andrea over the finish line and help her flip this seat, but time is running out to spread the word and get out the vote.
On September 14, voters can either elect a leader dedicated to working families, or someone just like Gov. Reynolds who had the chance to provide $95 million in funding to our children’s schools but chose to send the money back.
We have just 20 days left to make the choice clear to voters across the 37th District. Pitch in $10 or more today to help us elect Andrea and give Iowans the leadership they deserve.
Thanks,
Ras
