A message from the Colorado Republican Party

Dear Colorado Republicans,

It was great to join my home county at the Arapahoe GOP Picnic last weekend and see the great work our county party and local candidates are doing. (Here's your weekly reminder to reach out to a local city council, mayor, or school board candidate and volunteer for them!)

There have been a number of protests around the state, led by parents who are opposed to the forced masking of their children -- as young as two years old. Polling shows that the majority of Colorado parents oppose forced masking. Large numbers of parents are choosing to pull their children out of school districts that aren't listening to parents and enrolling their children in charter, private, or home school programs that trust parents instead of the government.

A majority of Coloradans also believe that homelessness and crime have reached crisis levels in our state. They are worried about the direction Colorado is taking. There's no question that politics is failing the people, and Republicans need to restore balance. Over a decade of one-party control has led to disaster. But, as the party of ideas and solutions, we can lead the way out!

Please continue to pass out our Commitment to Colorado. Let's spread a message of hope and a brighter future to everyone we know.

Thank you for being a part of our team!

Bennet ripped for praising Biden’s Afghanistan exit as ‘right decision’ days before Taliban takeover

Washington Times:  Sen. Michael Bennet praised President Biden a few days before the Taliban took Kabul for making the “right decision” on pulling U.S. troops out of Afghanistan, a comment now coming back to haunt the Colorado Democrat.

Mr. Bennet, who sits on the Senate Select Intelligence Committee, made hisremarks in an Aug. 13 interview with the Colorado Sun, shortly before the Taliban overran the capital on Aug. 15 and thousands of Afghans sought to escape in a chaotic rush to the Kabul airport.
...

Mr. Bennet has since focused on the importance of safely evacuating U.S. citizens and Afghan allies, as well as protecting Afghan women, but his support for the withdrawal as the Taliban rapidly advanced did not go unnoticed by Colorado Republicans.

“Yes, Senator Bennet, who is one of seven Democrats to sit on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, thinks that President Biden made the right decision on how he chose to pull out of Afghanistan,” said the Colorado Republican Party in a Friday press release.
