John — Yesterday, the house passed the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. If the Senate passes it, this bill will restore critical portions of the Voting Rights Act, protect our democracy and remove barriers to voting.
Elise Stefanik voted against it.
The past year has shown us how fragile our voting rights are, as state legislatures across the nation pass restrictive voting laws that disproportionately impact people of color and other marginalized communities. It is unacceptable that Stefanik is opposed to the critical protections in the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act that are meant to stop states from disenfranchising and suppressing voters.
If elected to Congress, I will be a tireless advocate for voting rights — unlike Elise Stefanik. Will you support my campaign to replace her by contributing today?
CONTRIBUTE ([link removed])
We should not be surprised that Elise Stefanik voted against legislation that protects people’s right to vote. Stefanik showed us that she is opposed to listening to the will of the voters when she voted to overturn the results of the free and fair 2020 election.
The right to vote is elemental to our democracy and to the foundation of our government. But Elise Stefanik does not respect that right.
With your support, we can remove dangerous, anti-democratic Elise Stefanik from public office. But I can’t do it alone. Please, chip in to my campaign today to hold Stefanik accountable.
