So-called ‘centrist’ Democrats used their influence in Congress to slow down the budget reconciliation blueprint. While the budget has passed in the House, these Democrats put up a strong fight against voting on popular policies.
This budget would include new investments in paid family leave, Medicare, and child care — not to mention investments in the fight against the climate crisis. It includes policies that President Biden ran on and won back the White House with.
The same policies that are supported by millions of hard-working Wisconsinites.
I’m at my wit’s end with Democrats attempting to block ambitious policies that will help working people and our environment.
It’s flat-out shameful.

John, it’s bad enough when Republicans grandstand and throw fits to try to block legislation aimed at helping working people. We’re all used to this nonsense.
It’s a whole other matter when Democrats,
the party of working people, do the same thing. There’s only one way to stop it from happening —
elect progressive Democrats.
