Remain in Mexico Policy

Yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to reinstate President Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy. This is great news!

The ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy sends illegal migrants to Mexico to wait for their asylum case hearings, rather than releasing them into the U.S. Without this policy, many could wait six months to several years for a judge to hear their case, while many will not return at all, continuing to live in our country illegally.

This policy is proven to stem the flow of illegal immigration, and is just one of many effective policies President Trump implemented. Despite the fact that it works, Biden is still trying to roll it back. But who is surprised? That’s what Democrats do - they roll back sensible, effective conservative policies.

By reversing the progress we made under Trump to secure our border, the border crisis has become even deadlier under Biden. Through the month of July, Border Patrol agents reported finding 383 dead migrants, the highest number in nearly a decade! This simply can’t continue.

Reinstating the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy is a huge win towards securing the border. This is a step forward in fixing the damage done by the Biden Administration and will decrease the number of migrants illegally crossing our border.

Biden’s refusal to secure our southern border is resulting in an increase in drugs, gangs, COVID cases, and deaths. I’m grateful for the Supreme Court’s decision that Biden must reinstate this vital policy.

Border security has been and will continue to be a top priority for me. Nothing is more important than the safety of the people of Texas. As Lt. Governor, I will continue fighting to secure our border and support policies that protect Texans, and I would like to count on your help. May I count on your support of $5-10-25 or more today to fight the Democrats who want to roll back conservative policies that work for Texas?

Please continue to keep our state and our nation in your prayers. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.

Sincerely,

Dan Patrick
