** Dear John,
------------------------------------------------------------
Because lawmakers across the nation are attempting to undermine educators’ ability to teach honest and accurate history in schools, Zinn Education Project, Black Lives Matter at School and the African American Policy Forum are inviting educators to counter those attempts in public gatherings, virtual teach-ins and other events this week.

Educators in more than 115 cities have signed up so far to host events August 27-29 for the Teach Truth Pledge Days of Action. Sign the Pledge to Teach the Truth here ([link removed]) . Suggested events include reading pledges, holding walking tours at historic sites, rallies with speakers, virtual teach-ins or town halls. If you’re looking for free materials to use during teach-ins or town halls, consider our Teaching Hard History resources ([link removed]) , which include K-12 teaching materials, videos, webinars and more.

Find more information here ([link removed]) about the days of action and how to plan an activity in your city.

Thanks for all you do for students.
