Did you know there’s a highly-trained and dedicated group of Indivisible activists working day in and day out to fight disinformation online, going head-to-head with right-wing bots to ensure that the truth is spreading faster than lies?

It’s true -- they’re called the Truth Brigade, and they’ve quietly amassed over a hundred million views of their measurable online counter-messages. They've held thousands of persuasive offline and private group conversations, supported by Indivisible organizers and disinformation-fighting specialists. And we’re emailing you today to ask you to chip in $5 or so to keep them hard at work.

Just like in campaigning, the best messengers for truth -- whether about vaccines, critical race theory, or election results -- are people you know personally. So the Truth Brigade is trained to inform and mobilize their own networks to disrupt and diffuse disinformation around hot-button issues. Indivisible works with disinformation experts to provide the training, toolkits, and fact guides that Brigaders need to do that work so they can focus on educating those around them.

This isn't one of Indivisible’s flashy, million-dollar programs like the For the People Project: It’s a group of highly trained people doing deep, focused work in collaboration with disinformation fighting experts. But that doesn’t make the project any less important, and the truth is that it still costs money to run, between training activists, deep research into disinformation and how to fight it, and building out resources for Truth Brigaders to use.
