Here's the deal -- 

Republican politicians are doing everything they can to suppress voting rights before the 2022 midterm elections. More than 400 voter suppression bills are currently making their way through 48 states -- including right here in Ohio.

Ohio Republicans just introduced an extreme bill that would require discriminatory voter ID laws, ban ballot drop-boxes, prohibit election officials from certifying voting machines, and restrict the use of absentee voting.

This is outrageous. No matter who you vote for, access to the ballot box is critical for democracy. If you’re with me, sign my petition now demanding the Senate pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to protect voting rights at the federal level.

Let me make it abundantly clear when I say that the 2020 election was not stolen and Trump’s Big Lie is just that -- a lie.

Republicans know that when more people vote, they lose. So instead of following the rules of democracy, they’re trying to cheat the system.

That’s why I proudly voted to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act in the House. This legislation would restore the original Voting Rights Act of 1965 in full and help put an end to the racist voter suppression laws being pushed at the state level.

Please, would you join me in taking a stand against voter suppression and demand that the Senate pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act now?

Remember -- our government is supposed to answer to the people, not power-hungry elected officials with partisan agendas. Let’s make sure we continue to fight for our democracy.
