Friend --

I want to start off by giving those of you who took the time to submit your comment to the ATF on their proposed "receiver" rule a shout-out. By the comment deadline over 291kcomments were submitted on that proposed rule, breaking an all-time record. ?Of course, some of those comments were submitted by lazy anti-gun groups who had their supporters use copy and paste for their comments, but overall our showing was the strongest yet! We now have another proposed ATF rule with an upcoming deadline to focus on and oppose.

We have reached out before regarding the ATF's proposed rule, Rule 2021R-08 <[link removed]>, on "stabilizing braces". ?In a nutshell, they want to redefine the word "rifle" by essentially appending "oh, and braced pistols too...sometimes" to the definition. ?This is a blatant attempt by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to rewrite the law in an arbitrary and exceptionally aggressive manner. ?I am happy to report that as of this morning there have already been over 136,000 comments submitted on this topic so far.? With the September 8th deadline for comment submission quickly approaching we need to kick our activism into high gear.

To help crank our numbers up on the proposed "stabilizing braces" rule, simply click one of the red "Submit Comment to ATF on Stabilizing Braces" buttons in this email. You will be taken directly to the Federal Register where you will then submit your comment. There are only two weeks remaining to comment, so the sooner comments are filed, the better!
