John, tomorrow will mark Women's Equality Day, and Women's March is planning to honor the occasion in a huge way:
1. We're rallying in-person in front of the U.S. Supreme Court to demand the swift ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, so we can finally guarantee equal rights under law as a core value in our Constitution.
2. Today, we're introducing a special initiative: The Women's Equality Fund. And starting right now, we're launching an urgent 48 hour goal to raise $5,000 for the fund to fuel our ongoing fight for true equality for women.
In 2021, the fight for women's equality is more urgent than ever. With coordinated assaults on our health and rights coming from anti-woman Republicans at every level, to the historic women's unemployment levels prompted by the pandemic, women are on the brink. It is far past time for full equality under law, which is why we're calling on every Women's Marcher to take action today:
What we are seeing in our country today is a coordinated attack on women. From threats to our reproductive rights to insidious voter suppression efforts targeted at women and people of color, we are witnessing unprecedented efforts by Republicans to roll back the clock.
This year has proven that our fight didn't end when we came together to kick Donald Trump out of office, John. Far from it. This is a historic moment in which we must fight back to defend our hard-earned progress, so please consider making a special contribution before tomorrow in honor of Women's Equality Day.
In solidarity,
Women's March
P.S. In honor of Women's Equality Day, we're cranking up the pressure to lift the bogus time limit on the ERA so our government can FINALLY create the legal framework we need to strive toward true gender equality in our country. Mobilizing and advocating in support of the ERA and so much more is expensive, so we're launching the Women's Equality Fund to support this work. Will you donate $3 today to help us reach our $5,000 goal?
