I want to be honest with you. August hasn’t been our best month for fundraising. 

It’s not uncommon to see a bit of a dip during the summer, especially during an “off year,” and especially after an election as exhausting as 2020 was. 

What worries me, though, is that the GOP isn’t letting up. Republicans’ Senate campaign arm announced they raked in $28 million last quarter alone. Mitch McConnell is laser focused on winning back the Senate and his mega-donors are opening their pockets to help him do it. 

That’s why I’m being straight up with you: We’re not on track to hit our monthly fundraising goal. Will you chip in $10 or more right now to help us make up the difference?

Listen, I didn’t run for office because I like asking for money. It’s my least favorite part of the job. But to do all the important parts of the job, like getting folks back to work, taking action on climate change, and ensuring quality education for all, we must hold our Senate majority. And to do that, we can’t let Republicans outraise and outspend us every step of the way.  

I know this team has what it takes to counter Republicans’ spending and defend our majority. Now it’s time to prove it.
