UPDATED HOUSING AND DISCRIMINATION RESOURCE LIST
|
|
The Alliance for Housing Solutions has updated our non-comprehensive collection of readings, videos, and other resources to help guide an understanding of the history of racism and housing discrimination—in both the U.S. and in Arlington—as well as ways to become an anti-racist individual or organization.
Thank you for joining us in the important work of making Arlington a place where people of all walks of life are truly welcome and can afford to live.

A new report from the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University reveals how the pandemic has impacted housing and how much more work we have to do to build back better. The report's five major findings include:
-
The national housing supply is at historic lows.
-
Home prices are rising quickly.
-
Rents are down sharply for high-end apartments in some high-cost urban markets.
-
Renters and people of color fared the worst during the pandemic.
-
The number of people experiencing homelessness grew for the fifth straight year in 2020.
