Yesterday, all of Georgia's U.S. House Democrats – Representatives Sanford Bishop, Carolyn Bourdeaux, Hank Johnson, Lucy McBath, David Scott, and Nikema Williams – voted to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act!

Not a single Republican voted for the bill. Right now, Republicans across the country are continuing their campaign of voter suppression. In Georgia, the GOP passed SB 202, a racist voting restriction law that makes it harder for everyone, especially people of color, to cast a ballot. The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act is how we protect everyone's right to vote amid this egregious voter suppression in Georgia and across the country.

We are so proud of our House Democrats, who are carrying on the legacy of our hero, the late Congressman John Lewis.

Georgia Democrats won't stop fighting until every Georgian can make their voice heard.
