Support Our Work

Every five years, New York issues a survey to assess the needs of LGBTQ people who live in our state. It is the only statewide survey in the country that captures and analyzes the needs of LGBTQ people—and it directly informs how governments and organizations take action to support our community.

This year’s survey is available in English and Spanish, compatible with screen readers, and open to all LGBTQ New Yorkers ages 13 and older. The average time needed to complete it is approximately 25 minutes. It will be open until September 30, 2021. Please take the survey today, to help ensure that the needs of queer New Yorkers can be seen and addressed! For reference, here is the outcome of the previous survey

Exciting updates from the RiseOut Activists-in-Residence

You may remember that Dominic Bradley and Joshua Allen were named the 2021 RiseOut Activist-in-Residence Fellows earlier this year. We’re pleased to be able to share some exciting updates on their projects! Joshua’s work focuses on a youth mentorship program for Black LGBTQ youth, and Dominic is launching multiple mental health supports for BIPOC LGBTQ people including an adult coloring book, a panel event, and a guide to building a personal wellness plan.
