John,

Last night, House Democrats passed the highly anticipated John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act -- Elaine was so proud to vote for this historic piece of legislation.

This bill takes important measures to defend our democracy and the right to vote. It will require states with a history of racial discrimination to receive approval from the federal government before making changes to their election laws, and it will block states from implementing certain voting restrictions.

But, this bill will face an uphill battle in the Senate. You can help.

Elaine is calling on you to join her in the fight to protect our voting rights by becoming a citizen co-sponsor of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act TODAY >>

We’ve seen an unprecedented attack on voting rights since the 2020 election. At least 250 new laws have been proposed in 43 states to enact measures such as restricting early and mail-in voting, closing polling places, and making it harder for folks to vote on Election Day.

Republican state legislators and members of Congress are doing all they can to suppress the right to vote -- they know that when more people vote, they lose.

This is Democrats’ last chance to bolster federal voting rights mandates before the year is over.

With Republicans favored to win the House in 2022, there’s no time to lose. Sign on today: Become a citizen co-sponsor of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act!
