The United Nations released a scientific report on climate change, and it's not looking good. Even if countries started cutting our carbon emissions drastically, we still wouldn't be able to prevent the global warming that is going to happen in the next two decades. John, we won't be able to recover from this, but we still have a small window to stop things from getting even worse.

The GOP chooses to ignore the heat waves sweeping our country and the wildfires raging in the west, making it infinitely harder to pass any meaningful legislation on climate change. The bottom line is that corrupt backroom deals between Big Oil lobbyists and politicians are destroying our planet. While politicians are busy lining their pockets, their constituents are experiencing the worst consequences of climate change.

That is why we need to push for the Green New Deal NOW.
