Kids are back in school. That should be a good thing, right?
As parents or grandparents, we value good education. But what’s happening in many public schools throughout the country is better described as indoctrination. Just consider what your kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews—or the kids down the block—may be in for as they go back to school this fall. Here are a few examples:
- Many schools overtly push gender transition as a good and viable option for kids to consider. Schools are fanning the flames of the “transgender contagion” that is sweeping through youth, especially among middle- and high-school girls.
- Radical sex-ed programs—starting as early as kindergarten—are in full swing throughout the country. It’s not just in liberal states; even in conservative Idaho, for example, some sex-ed programs teach boys and girls sex acts—to engage in alone or with another—complete with graphic illustrations.
 In Tacoma, Washington, 8th-grade students were given a handout informing them of their rights to have sex, to get abortions without their parents’ consent, etc. Here is a photo of the full handout.- Critical race theory (CRT) is being used in countless schools to teach our students that America is fundamentally racist. It’s an ideology rooted in Marxism that is being imposed on American children.
I could go on and on with examples. But the question is: What can you and I do about it?
The answer is: A lot! You are fighting back against this indoctrination in our schools through your support for Family Policy Alliance. Here’s how:
- Giving parents a choice. When parents are allowed to use their tax dollars at the school of their choice, schools are held accountable. 2021 was a remarkable year for school choice advances in the states, and we’re working with our alliance of state policy groups to keep that trend going!
 Giving parents tools to fight back. Family Policy Alliance released Back to School—For Parents, and the response has been remarkable. Dr. Michelle Cretella of the American College of Pediatricians called it “the most important book a parent will ever read.”
- Standing up to the Biden school agenda. The Biden Administration is threatening to “fully enforce Title IX to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in education programs and activities.” We are fighting back in Congress by mobilizing a massive outpouring of opposition to the Dept. of Education!
 Winning the battle to #SaveGirlsSports — and protecting minors from transgender medical experimentation. Eight states have passed laws to keep biological males out of female sports, and in 2021, the first two states protected minors from sex-change surgeries and hormones.
