Hi John,
Over 1,000 people died during the late-June heatwave in the Pacific Northwest.
95% of the US West is in drought.
New York City just had its rainiest hour in history.
And July was the hottest month in recorded history.
It’s understandable to have a feeling of doom about climate. I hear from many in Gen Z who feel that their future is being stolen from them and all they have to look forward to is a life of survival.
But we can make a difference on climate: by taking radical action. We need the Green New Deal: an end to the fossil fuel industry and a transition to renewable energy. As a country, we got out of the Great Depression, won WWII, and put a man on the moon. We can do this.
But it will take new leadership.
I’m running against a Chevron Democrat who takes oil money and opposes the Green New Deal. Can you donate now so I can run a strong campaign to beat him?
Thank you,
