House passes bill to strengthen Voting Rights Act in face of new restrictions in GOP-led states - Washington Post

John,

Our work to make American democracy more inclusive will never end, but today we took a big step forward. The House just passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Act!

We can’t lose the momentum and let the bill die in the Senate.

John, we got this far because of voting rights leaders, grassroots supporters like you, and advocacy groups like us. So, please, chip in $25 so we can finish the job and pass this bill.

The moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here. We prepared as much as we could, but so did Republicans. They have a well-funded misinformation campaign that just kicked into high gear to block this bill.

So, John, if you can, please chip in to make sure the John Lewis Voting Rights Act passes the Senate and gets signed into law.

Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $39 so consider donating that today to support voting rights: [link removed]
