Just two days later, climate emergency coverage fell to just five minutes total across all broadcast TV stations and all three cable news channels combined.

This is journalistic malpractice.
To make the big, systemic changes we need to make to solve the climate crisis, we need news media that will sound the alarm every day and inspire the actions we need to talk to stop this catastrophe.

Industry-funded climate denialism has evolved into a sinister do-nothing complacency and open antagonism toward the Green New Deal and the people-powered climate movement demanding an end to the fossil fuel economy.
That’s why, years from now, when historians look back on this tragic era of inaction, one of the major culprits will have been the corporate media.
