Dear Friend,

This is a 911 call to all caregivers: Please tell MomsRising about your
caregiving struggles (or triumphs if the newly expanded monthly Child Tax
Credit funds are helping!). Sharing your caregiving story right now is
very very important. It will have a huge impact!

Why? MomsRising is getting an overwhelming number of story requests from
journalists and leaders working on the infrastructure package. They are
asking us for real-life experiences and stories from moms and family
members to help them understand, explain, and – most importantly –
champion the care policies they are working on, including childcare for
all, universal paid family/medical leave, making permanent the expanded
Child Tax Credit, and more.

[ [link removed] ][IMG][ [link removed] ]Tell us your caregiving story so we can share it with Congress
and the news media. You could really make a difference in moving forward
the care policies that families need.

*** We’ll also send you these FREE “Care” buttons to wear to show you are
part of the movement to build a Care Economy.

[ [link removed] ]Change is on the horizon! We have a unique opportunity right now to
make things happen, and your story is part of our critical effort.
Congress is working on an historic infrastructure bill, and care policies
are on the table as being part of essential infrastructure. We are
fighting hard for care policies like childcare for all, universal paid
family/medical leave, making permanent the expanded Child Tax Credit, and
more, to help families and businesses recover from the pandemic and thrive
moving forward.

Our need for authentic personal stories about the struggles of caregiving
is real! We’re on the edge of winning these policies, but we need your
extra power-building help – YOUR CAREGIVING STORY – to help get across the
finish line!

[ [link removed] ]Take action now. This is your moment to be heard and to make a
difference! Tell us your caregiving story, and we’ll share it with those
who need to hear it most – the news media shaping the public narrative
around the need for a Care Economy, and the elected leaders who are
directly responsible for passing policy to build the Care Economy.

Even if you want to keep your story private or anonymous, we still need to
hear from you. Why? Because saying we heard from 100,000 moms and family
members who are struggling with caregiving is more powerful than saying we
only heard from 100. The more stories we have, the more power we have in
making the case that moms and families need Congress to build a Care
Economy. (And don’t worry, we promise we’ll respect your wishes and keep
your personal story private or anonymous!)

So if you have been struggling with caregiving (for example, not having
paid family leave, being able to afford childcare, how the expanded child
tax credit has been a lifesaver, and more), would you please tell us your
story?

wear and show you are part of the movement to build a care economy.

Please forward this email to any friends or family who you know are
struggling with giving care, and ask them to share their experiences too.

Together, we’ll be a national wave of change for families!

We can do this!
