Today is the Innocence Project’s 29th birthday, and we are so grateful to this growing community that’s supported our work for nearly three decades.

Without people like you, we could not continue to do this work. Full stop. So, to everyone who’s donated, shared one of our posts on social media, or asked a lawmaker to support a policy that will make the criminal legal system more just: Thank you!

But the work isn’t over. This past year and a half has been difficult for so many, including the exonerees we work with. Sadly, we’re still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many of our exonerees live in states that are seeing record high cases right now. We’re working to make sure they can keep themselves and their families safe — but we could use your help.

Our Exoneree Fund is being used to help Innocence Project exonerees pay for things like rent, transportation, and supplies they need to stay healthy during this time.

So before the Innocence Project’s 29th birthday is over, will you make a donation to the Exoneree Fund so we can ensure all of our exonerees are able to thrive?
