While congressional Democrats are proposing expanding Medicaid coverage and improving quality, GOP politicians in Missouri are explicitly BLOCKING state-led efforts to expand it – even though these efforts were voted for in a ballot initiative with a 53% majority. 

On the one hand, this was so predictable: GOP elites don't care about public health – and they've been good at destroying our democracy lately. But with the delta variant rising and basic health care as expensive as ever, we can't wait for the nihilist GOP to come around on this issue – especially while the majority of Americans support Medicaid expansion.
