Women's March

John,

This month, we conducted a survey to collect stories from Women’s Marchers about why they chose to get vaccinated and the challenges you may have faced getting your family and friends vaccinated as well.

We want to thank the thousands of Women’s Marchers who shared their stories. Your feedback is critical in helping us understand the issues we face in combating COVID disinformation and equipping our communities with the information we need to get as many of us vaccinated.

In just a moment we’re going to share with you the stories and insights we found in our survey results. We hope that after reading you’ll consider donating $3 or anything you can to help power our Digital Defenders program so we can fight back against the COVID disinformation crisis.

Women’s March is proud to be one of the only organizations in existence that trains volunteers how to combat COVID disinformation online so we can make sure our families are vaccinated, healthy, and secure.

Here are just some examples of the thousands of personal stories Women’s Marchers shared with us in our COVID Vaccine Survey:

I chose to get the vaccination as soon as it was available because I wanted to protect myself and my family, and get things back to normal as soon as possible.

I chose to be vaccinated because I believe in science. More importantly though, I believe in my responsibility to keep those around me safe.

I chose to get vaccinated to protect not only myself, but my family, friends, and students. I’ve seen how many people were affected by COVID, and I wanted to make sure I was doing my part by protecting myself and others.

My best friend of 11 years, who I went with to the Women’s March died of COVID in June 2020. Tragic for her family, friends, and patients.

Here are some insights we found in our survey results:

Reading your stories motivates us to work harder than ever to make sure we rise up to this moment and do the hard work required so we can vaccinate all of our family members and friends.

But it’s going to take all of us working together to get through this crisis.

All of our organizing work to combat COVID disinformation and help make sure our communities have the knowledge they need to feel comfortable getting vaccinated is funded by grassroots donors like you, John. Whether you can give $50, $10, or $1 — every dollar helps us reach more people through our Digital Defenders program and get more of us vaccinated.
