Since we launched our campaign back in April, I have had the chance to talk with thousands of voters and listen to their concerns. In each conversation, I ask them, “are you better off than your parents and grandparents?” The answer is always yes.

I then ask if they believe their kids and grandkids will be better off — sadly, the answer is almost always no. I am not ready to give up on America because I know when we work together, we can accomplish anything.

That is why I am running for Congress, because too many Americans have begun to doubt our future.

I cannot do this alone, so I am asking 250 folks who are not ready to give up on America to step up and help us hit our end-of-summer goal. Can I count on you to help us today?

To restore faith in our country’s promise, we can no longer merely admire the problems -- we have to tackle them head on. We must expand access to healthcare, ensure every child — regardless of their zip code — receives a world class education, fix our crumbling infrastructure and protect the right to vote.
