John,

In a minute, I’ll ask you to add a donation — split between my campaign and Seth Moulton — to help us reach our campaign’s critical goal. But first, can you give me a moment to explain why your support is so important — especially today?

I’m not your typical politician. I was raised by a single mom who worked clerical jobs to make sure we had a roof over our heads and food on the table. I watched my family lose their livelihoods when steel mills closed and jobs got shipped overseas. I grew up with Saturday football games and Sunday family dinners.

I can promise you this: I’ll never forget where I came from or who I’m fighting for. The single parents who work two jobs just to make ends meet. The tireless Ohioans who shower at the end of a long day. And every single American who works hard and does their part but still can’t seem to get by.

Meanwhile, my GOP opponents are laser-focused on stockpiling campaign cash and lining up support from right-wing special interests. They’ll spend MILLIONS to make sure we lose this race, so their wealthy friends can continue to get ahead at the expense of everyday Americans.

That’s why I’m depending on grassroots folks like you to power our campaign. I know we have what it takes to beat the odds and flip this critical Senate seat blue, but only if we put our Ohio grit to work and build a team strong enough to win.

We need to raise another $9,000 by tomorrow to stay on track to expand our Democratic Senate Majority and cut workers in on the deal. Can I count on you to chip in $5 to be split between me and Seth Moulton?

Thank you for all you do,

Tim
