Alexandria, Ilhan, Ayanna, and Rashida gave an incredible response to the
racist-in-chief, making it clear that they will not take the bait and be
distracted by this man’s hate: they’re going to keep fighting for the
people they were elected to serve, and that includes continuing to speak
out against the absolutely inhumane treatment of migrant children at the
border.
Ayanna emphasized the squad is not simply just these four progressive
women in Congress: “Our squad is big. Our squad includes any person
committed to building a more equitable and just world, and that is the
work that we want to get back to. And given the size of this squad in this
great nation, we can not, we will not, be silenced.”
And Alexandria had a shining message of hope and inspiration for young
people in this country who have also been told by bullies to go back where
they came from: “This country belongs to you. This country belongs to all
of us.”
House Democrats also took a collective stand yesterday and passed their
resolution condemning Trump’s vile bigotry, and all but four Republicans
voted against it. Shameful, but at this point I can’t say I’m surprised.
Look, we know the truth: as long as Trump and his complicit, right-wing
allies like Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham are in office, we can expect
more of the same. That’s why it’s crucial we make sure they -- and
establishment Democrats -- know we stand with the Squad and their bold
commitment to doing what’s right.

progressive values they fight for -- by pitching in just $5 or more, and
DFA will send you our Squad bumper sticker!
