More Rural Conversations Scheduled
The Missouri Conference department of Mission, Service and Justice is planning more conversations to invite people to discuss ways the Conference can serve rural Missouri. They are seeking input from individuals who have experience working with rural populations via ministry, healthcare, education, etc., or who feel a calling to work in rural Missouri. The next opportunities for conversation will be held at Advance UMC (202 N. OAK, ADVANCE, MO 63730) on Tuesday, October 29, from 12-3 p.m. (lunch provided) and Cassville UMC (601 GRAVEL STREET, CASSVILLE, MO 65625) on Friday, November 15, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (coffee and refreshments provided). This live four-session webinar will begin at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12 for one hour, subsequent one-hour meetings will be on November 14, November 19, and November 21. Ilda Guambe Named Evaluation and Learning Specialist
The Office of Finance and Administration is pleased to announce that Ilda Guambe has accepted a full-time position as Evaluation and Learning Specialist. She will be working with particular emphasis on the Mozambique Initiative. Guambe holds a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Missouri Western State University and a bachelor´s degree in Management and Administration from Africa University in Zimbabwe. She is fluent in English and Portuguese and speaks five more Mozambican languages.
