I hope this email finds you well, friend.

Last week, Montana revisited a grim milestone -- 632 new COVID-19 cases in a single day. We haven't seen a number that high since early January. With school starting back up, I know this is the last thing parents want to see.

It's not just the more contagious variant we're confronting. With the spike in patients, medical professionals are dealing with severe shortages. Everything from staffing to beds, food, oxygen and linens are low. In some cases, doctors have been forced to transfer patients to other states to seek treatment.

Friend, it's unconscionable that we would lack the resources to treat every single patient infected with this virus. Now matter how you cut it, responsibility for this falls squarely on Governor Gianforte's shoulders.

I strongly support the Montana Hospital Association's call for more resources to combat staffing shortages in our state. Today, I am asking you to join me and take action:

Will you add your name to call on Greg Gianforte to deliver resources to hospitals and medical professionals in need during this COVID-19 spike? Lives are at stake.

Like many of you, I'm exhausted by this virus. It's frustrating that just as we felt we were rounding a corner, our politicians have let partisan politics get in the way of progress.

Gianforte is focused on symbolic mask bans to cater to his base. The Montana Legislature, led by Gianforte, also stripped health officials of their ability to manage the pandemic at the local level.

They're not making us safer, and they're not getting support to where it's needed. It's calculated, political maneuvering. We deserve better.

Sign the petition: Tell Gianforte to quit playing politics and deliver support to our hospitals to manage the COVID-19 spike.

Thanks for stepping up,

Cora
