Dem AGs like AG Herring in Virginia are looking out for student loan borrowers.
Team,
In case you missed it this week, I wanted to get this bit of news into your inbox: Virginia’s Democratic Attorney General Mark Herring is taking bold action to protect student loan borrowers from predatory practices.
AG Herring is putting his weight behind the newly-passed Borrower Bill of Rights that aims to help more than a million Virginians saddled with student loans, and team, it’s not the first time he and other Dem AGs have gone to bat for us:
AG Herring joined a coalition of 23 Dem AGs that took on Trump’s Department of Education when they unlawfully stripped away borrower protections in 2020, and he’s been a fierce fighter against predatory student loan companies for many years.
We have to support Dem AGs so they can keep doing this work for us. AG Herring is a progressive champion, and he’s up for reelection in just a few months. The stakes in this race are huge. His opponent is a Trump extremist who will roll back decades of progress if he wins.

Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
