Dear Friend,
There’s a lot of excitement this school year to regain a sense of NORMAL. And nobody is more ready for this than our young people. The last thing a child heading back to school should worry about is starting one step behind without basic supplies, backpacks, and other resources.
For kids we serve, programs like Operation Backpack® prepare them for school and life: supplies, access to educational resources, meals, and other assistance. And it’s all possible, thanks to VOA supporters like you.
Show you care for kids and families in your community with a gift in support of Operation Backpack and other lifesaving programs.
This past year, the pandemic left 9-year-old Alexis’ dad unemployed and scrambling for jobs. Unable to secure enough pay to make ends meet, their lives spiraled until Alexis and her dad became homeless. With help from their local VOA, they found shelter, Dad got help with re-employment training, and Alexis will start her first day of school with a new backpack and educational services.
You give hope to those we serve—people like Alexis and her father! Right now, many more families are out of work, and we’re challenged with responding to increased demands for the basics of shelter, food, and educational resources. We need a few local friends to help our efforts. I know we'll be successful in tackling this together. Can I count on you for another gift today? Thank you, again, for being with us.
Yes, Count Me In >>

P.S. Right now, there is an even greater need for support due to many families being out of work. Thank you for helping to meet these urgent needs.
