Hello --

A year ago today, news broke that a Kenosha, Wisconsin, police officer shot Jacob Blake in the back seven times at point-blank range. Jacob survived, but he sustained life-altering trauma that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

This keeps happening, team. We continue to be terrorized by images and videos of our brothers and sisters enduring senseless violence and injustice at the hands of law enforcement.

As the mother of two Black boys, I am terrified. We can't stop fighting until justice is served, not just for Jacob and his sons who witnessed the shooting, but for the countless Black men and women whose lives have been taken or torn apart because of police brutality.

On today's anniversary, we are standing in solidarity with Jacob, his family, and our entire community in the fight against police violence. Will you join me in calling on the U.S. Senate to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act NOW?

Collectively, we will win,
