I needed to make sure you saw this --

A recent report found that several of my GOP opponents are multi-millionaires. Yep, one even owns a vacation home in the Bahamas and a private yacht. Another holds multiple cushy positions on corporate boards.

Me? I’m still paying off my family’s mortgage and student loans.

It’s clear that none of my Republican opponents can relate to the struggles of Ohio’s working families. We cannot let an out-of-touch millionaire represent us in the Senate.

So, I’m personally asking you to chip in $5 today to fuel this people-powered campaign to flip Ohio’s Senate seat blue. I know we have what it takes to overcome my opponents’ fortunes, but only with your help.

Unlike my right-wing opponents, I can’t loan myself a few million dollars to jumpstart this campaign. And I don’t want to.

I’m proud to run a campaign powered by small-dollar donations from folks like you. Your $5 here and $10 there is literally the only way we’ll build enough grassroots power to win a race this competitive.

But Republicans think they can buy this open Senate seat. They’re pumping millions into this race without doing a damn thing to find out what Ohio’s workers actually need.

We cannot let Republicans buy this seat. If you’re with me, I’m counting on you to chip in today to help us overcome the attacks and elect a Senator who will put workers first.
