John,

I hope you're doing well, it's been a pretty busy month for Team Hahn, and things will only pick up as we get further into the cycle.

But you're a big part of this movement, and Kara can't win without you on our team -- we need you to be informed and invested in the work we're doing to flip this seat.

So here's what I'll do: Every so often, I'll try and get you an update on how fundraising is going, any headlines we drum up, and anything else I think you should know. Does that sound good, John?

First, let me start with the newest addition to Team Hahn: Alison! Alison's come on board as Finance Director, and she has a lot of experience and unmatched energy to finally flip this seat blue -- we're excited to have her with us. You'll hear a lot from her as we hustle to meet our monthly fundraising benchmarks.

I think that's a good segue for our fundraising progress this month. We're doing good, but we need to do better. Our August goal is $30,000, and we're just under $13,000 -- take a peek:

Month: August | Target Goal: $30,000 | Raised (updated daily) $12,965

We've still got about 8 days to close the gap, but that's always easier said than done. If you can, chip in $5. It'd go a long way to keeping us on track.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I hope to get additional links over to y'all in the future, but for now, here are some recent headlines about our campaign and Kara's work in the legislature:
LongIsland News: Suffolk Unveils Donated Beach Clean-Up Station Intended to Reduce Shoreline Litter
Patch: Opioid Settlement Priorities Committee Launched By Bellone
The East Hampton Star: Throne-Holst Endorses Kara Hahn
TBR Newsmedia: Summer concert series ends with rock music and a spin, flip and a stunt

Now for something I hope will help keep us all connected: We're opening a forum for anyone to drop Team Hahn a tip or information you think would be worthwhile. Whether it be a local event, something happening in your neighborhood that you think your leaders should know about, or an organization or group you think we should reach out to -- you can do that going forward!

Got a tip or lead on something? Drop us a line:

Lastly, I wanted to share Kara's Twitter and Facebook with everyone. Following Kara on social media is a great way to get the most up-to-date campaign information. From community events to campaign opportunities -- we're worth the follow, I promise! Some recent highlights from the campaign trail as a bonus:

That's all I got for right now, take care and stay in touch.
