Subject: The fight for women's equality continues

The fight for women's equality is approaching an important milestone, John.

On August 26th, 1920, the 19th Amendment guaranteeing women the right to vote was ratified by Congress -- a significant victory in the lengthy and challenging struggle for women's equality.

I would not be where I am today if not for the work of these courageous and inspiring women who fought to make their voices, and the voices of all women, heard in our government.

Now, over 100 years later, in the face of a deluge of GOP-led voter suppression laws across the country, we must continue to advocate for full equality, representation, and voting rights for women.

Join me in calling on Congress to ensure equality and women's rights are at the forefront of our agenda by signing our petition today >>
We've made substantial progress for women in this country, but we still have a long way to go.

Black women still make on average 63 cents for every dollar a white man makes, meaning they must work an extra 214 days to receive the same amount of pay.

In fact, according to the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report for 2021, U.S. women won't reach pay equity with men for at least 60 years.

Equal pay shouldn't take 60 years, John. We need to close the wage gap and pass legislation to ensure equal pay for equal work and support working mothers and families with child care and paid leave for all.

Until we address these inequities, women in this country will continue to be underpaid, unrecognized, and unheard. That's why we're calling on Congress to commit to making women's equality a reality. Will you add your name right now?

Thanks for taking action, John.
