COVID-19 has created a political situation where every decision your governor makes will do one of two things -- save lives or cost lives.
Friend, the sad truth is: Republican Governor Brian Kemp has made a series of decisions that have resulted in tens of thousands of heartbreaking, unnecessary deaths in Georgia. From day one of lockdown, Kemp has been dead-set on reopening his state no matter the human cost.
Now Kemp is pretending that the surging, lethal Delta variant doesn't exist. Kemp won't enforce a mask mandate, expand healthcare, or make sure vulnerable communities have access to vaccines. One exasperated progressive critic put it best: “He's just throwing up his hands like he has no power to save lives.”
There's only one way to end the GOP's funeral march: Her name is Stacey Abrams.
Stacey Abrams is ready to lead Georgia out of this pandemic with dignity. Georgians deserve a leader who will put their lives ahead of any reckless partisan agenda. As progressives and as moral agents, we have a responsibility to do all we can to help Stacey end Kemp's blood-soaked career.
We are doing all we can to help elect candidates that will stand with Stacey Abrams, demand that every vote is counted, continue fighting even when things get tough, and refuse to get knocked down, even in the face of GOP voter suppression.
