Congressional redistricting is right around
the corner, and we need to get ready for the very real possibility that
Ro’s next election will be impacted.

If you want to learn more about the rollout of new district lines in
California, read the email below. If you’re ready right now to help us
prepare for potentially major changes to our 2022 voter outreach plan,

California losing a Congressional seat is unprecedented, and it’s critical
that we’re prepared to adapt to new challenges in Ro’s district. Thanks
for showing your support.

Subject: An update on redistricting in California

This is
a longer email, but we hope you read through this important update on how
the census could affect our campaign to re-elect Ro.

Last week, the Census Bureau released new population data that will be
used for redistricting this year, and Republicans are rushing to
gerrymander congressional districts that tilt the odds in their favor.
This includes Ro’s home state of California, which lost its first
congressional district since the state’s founding.

No one knows exactly how California’s districts will be
redrawn. That means Ro’s
district could change, and we have to be ready for every scenario,
including: 1) gaining new constituents who aren’t familiar with Ro, 2)
adding more Republican voters who disagree with our progressive values, or
3) facing new opponents – including potential incumbents.

Although there are still a lot of unknowns, here’s what we do know: ever
since his first election in 2016, Ro has never accepted a single cent of
PAC or lobbyist money, all while fighting for our shared progressive
values.

Not every member of Congress can say the same. It’s what makes our movement so unique
and powerful.

But it also makes fundraising a lot harder.

If we want to be able to take on whatever challenges or opponents
redistricting throws at us, we need to stay on track of our fundraising.
That means raising at least another $12,368 before the end of August.

Unlike some campaigns who receive millions of dollars from corporate PACs,
we work hard every day by reaching out to grassroots donors like yourself.
Every email we send is an effort from our team to try to keep up with the
endless money of our opponents.

Whoever our future opponents may be, we need to have enough funds to stand
up against the millions that corporate PACs and lobbyists are willing to
pay to unseat a bold progressive like Ro.

[ [link removed] ]Will you please make a donation of $3 or more today to
help us reach our August fundraising goal so we can take on whatever
challenges our potential future opponents throw our way?

Your support is why Ro was elected in the first place and we need your
help to do it again.

Thank you,

Ro Khanna for Congress
