Across the country, GOP-controlled state legislatures have been waging an all-out attack on reproductive choice and the right to an abortion guaranteed in Roe v. Wade. Now, it’s happening right here in Montana.

Republicans in our state legislature succeeded in passing a set of anti-choice laws that would create restrictions to accessing safe, legal abortion, and would have the most negative impact on Native women, people with low incomes, and those facing barriers to travel.

To stop these dangerous laws from going into effect on October 1, Planned Parenthood Montana just announced last week that they’re suing Governor Greg Gianforte.

I worked closely with Planned Parenthood Montana to oppose these bills in the legislature, and I am proud to stand by them today as they fight back against these unconstitutional laws that will only make it more difficult for women in Montana to access reproductive care.
