Friends,
I’m a mother of five, so I know how back to school time can always be a rush. Especially with the COVID pandemic, we want to make sure our kids are safe and have everything they need this year in order to get a great education.
In fact, my youngest child will be heading back to school soon for 7th grade! So we’re spending as much time as we can together while we still have it.

Unlike the Republican Governors across the country banning mask mandates for schools, I want you to know that Democrats are fighting with everything in our power to make sure we set our kids, teachers and schools up for success. That means making sure our schools can follow all of the important health and safety guidelines given out by the CDC.
We’ve already made significant progress by passing legislation that has dramatically cut child poverty by 61%, increased funding for school lunch programs, food stamps and broadband and put money directly into the hands of families through the Child Tax Credit.
