Friend — the 2020 US census data has been released!

We already knew that Phoenix was growing fast. But census data showed that it was the fastest-growing major city in the United States. We're also diversifying: the percentage of our population which identifies as only white dropped by 10%.

Here's what I think. First, there's no surprise about our population growth. Arizona is one of the best places to live in the world, and people eventually were going to catch on. 

What this data proves is how important keeping up with Arizona's growth will be moving forward. We need infrastructure that meets the needs of the people and an economy that works for everyone.

I'm ready to make sure that happens. Last week, I secured over $9 million in funding for Arizona projects that will improve transportation, expand water access, and invest in small businesses. It's a good start, but we've still got a long way to go.
