John, you're not going to believe this.
First, Fox News came under fire for spreading dangerous public health disinformation about COVID and the vaccines. With ICU beds filling up and COVID deaths amongst the unvaccinated increasing dramatically in red states, Fox News' anti-vaccine propaganda continues to kill people.
Then, news broke that Fox News HQ is requiring all their employees to enter their vaccination status into a central database — and requiring masking in confined spaces. It's clear that behind the scenes, Fox knows *exactly* how dangerous this virus continues to be, especially as the Delta variant rips through our country.
Now, Women's March is calling on this team to help call out Fox News' hypocrisy and lies. We've created an official petition to demand CEO Lachlan Murdoch that, if he's rightfully requiring Fox News employees to adhere to the vaccine and public safety standards outlined in the leaked report, they must immediately stop lying about vaccines on their network.
Stopping their rampant vaccine and mask disinformation campaign will literally save lives, John, so please take a moment to add your name: Sign on to demand Fox News CEO Lachlan Murdoch to stop the hypocrisy. It's clear they know the stakes when it comes to vaccines and masks, so they must immediately cease their dangerous spread of COVID disinformation on their network.
According to a new report by Media Matters for America, in a six-week period from June 28 through August 8, Fox aired 628 coronavirus vaccine segments with over half of them including claims undercutting national immunization efforts to save lives and stop the spread of this deadly virus.1
Particularly egregious were Fox hosts Tucker Carlson and Brian Kilmeade, who each made a whopping 53 claims undercutting vaccines. Following them was frequent Fox guest Dr. Marty Makary, who made 45 claims. Rounding out the top five were hosts Laura Ingraham and Pete Hegseth with 41 claims each.
This has simply got to stop. Their lies are taking lives — and it's been revealed that Fox News knows that vaccines and masks are crucial ways to stop the spread. But we need your help, John:
Thank you for using your voice to save lives,
Women's March
P.S. We're looking for signatures from every state in the country to tell Fox News CEO Lachlan Murdoch loud and clear: End the hypocrisy and stop this deadly disinformation campaign about vaccines and masks now. Will you be one of the 145 signers we need from the District of Columbia to add your name to our urgent petition?
