Gov. Murphy’s Republican opponent, Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, just falsely claimed that “children are not vulnerable” to the COVID-19 virus.

His comments are not only irresponsible, they’re dangerous. Right now, our country is facing a nationwide surge in pediatric COVID hospitalizations and student quarantines where states do not have school masking policies. We need to be taking action to keep our children safe and schools open — and it’s clear that if Ciattarelli were in the governor’s office, he’d be doing the opposite.
